Get the Benefits of Gentle & Deep Teeth Cleaning
Tooth exams and cleanings are done to remove bacteria and plaque that could lead to tooth and gum disease. We believe exams are also very important to be preventive against other health issues such as mouth, throat or tongue cancer and we can check for tongue and mouth cancer and even osteoporosis.
The American Dental Association recommends that you visit your dentist twice a year to get routine examinations and cleanings. If you have a history of periodontal disease, you should get your teeth cleaned more often in order to prevent the recurrence of infections or disease.
During your oral and gum disease evaluation we can determine the health of your mouth. Depending on your periodontal measurements, presence of any bleeding, inflammation or other negative signs of poor health, we can make recommendations on the type of dental teeth cleaning you require.
If periodontal disease is present, we offer gentle deep teeth cleaning as part of our general dentistry practice. We recommend it twice annually and anytime x-rays show any kind of bone loss, developing pockets, or gum disease.
